Delivering on my 5 point plan

1. Bring St. Catharines issues to Ottawa; not bring Ottawa excuses back to St. Catharines.

Awarded contract to Seaway Marine and Industrial to retrofit a coast guard vessel at the lock one dry docks.

Investing to improve the water and sewar system in Port Colborne.

Providing funds for the Niagara Folk Arts Festival to continue to bring world music, dance and food celebrations to the community.

Providing funding to the Resource Association for Teens to construct a shelter for high-risk and homeless youth.

2. Work to toughen our laws to ensure St. Catharines is a safe place to live. We need minimum mandatory sentencing -- punishing criminals does not require a 2 billion dollar gun registry.

Eliminating the 2-for-1 benefit so that convicted criminals serve their full sentences.

Removing the Faint Hope Clause to secure our community and provide justice for victims.

Providing tougher mandatory prison sentences for serious gun crimes.

3. Help restore integrity, ethics and accountability back into the House of Commons.

Passing the historic Federal Accountability Act to restore accountability to Ottawa.

Maintaining a community office that is open and accessible to all members of our community.

Having a voting record online for everyone to view.

4. Work with municipal and provincial government representatives to help implement a new Economic Plan for St. Catharines, a plan that includes federal tax relief.

Creating jobs and upgrading infrastructure by funding a new parking facility to replace the Carlisle Street Garage.

Bringing GO Transit to St. Catharines to better serve the community.

Investing in the widening of the QEW to six lanes through St. Catharines.

Doubling the Gas Revenue transfer to the municipality so that they can invest in roads, transit, and other local projects.

5. Demand that St. Catharines gets its fair share of federal spending

Funding the expansion of the Niagara District Airport to create jobs and increase visitor traffic to the region.

Investing in the Niagara Centre for the Arts to revitalize our city.

Funding the largest environmental cleanup in St. Catharines history in the canal lands.

Investing in the Niagara Health and Biosciences Research Complex at Brock to position our community for the jobs of the future.
